M2021-A2 The sinking of the Bella 571c carrying out a hydrographic survey in the Lynmouth bay in the United Kingdom on 6 July 2021

Referring to section 12(2) of the Safety Investigation Act (525/2011), the Safety Investigation Authority, Finland, has decided to appoint its authorised representative to assist in the safety investigation started by the Marine Accident Investigation Branch (MAIB) of the United Kingdom.

The hydrographic survey boat registered in the United Kingdom sank on 6 July 2021. The boat is a Bella 571c, built in Finland.

Safety Investigator Ilkka Kervinen from the Safety Investigation Authority, Finland, is appointed as the authorised representative.
