L2022-02 An air accident at Tikkakoski on 17 April 2022

The Safety Investigation Authority, Finland, has decided to initiate an investigation under section 2 of the Safety Investigation Act (525/2011) into the accident that occurred on 17 April 2022. A Monnett Sonerai I experimental aircraft crashed at Tikkakoski, near Jyväskylä Airport. One person was killed in the accident.

Olli Borg, Master of Science, is appointed as the Head of the Investigation Team, and senior safety investigator Juho Posio, aircraft mechanic Mikko Raatikainen as well as aircraft mechanic Jouni Rautio are appointed as members. Chief Air Safety Investigator Janne Kotiranta will serve as the Investigator-in-Charge.
