Ukrainian authorities decided to conduct investigation of the incident, which occurred on 13 February 2008 at Helsinki-Vantaa airport. The wing tip of Ukraine International Airlines aircraft of type B737-500 touched the runway on landing.

Accident Investigation Board of Finland appointed an accredited representative of Finland to participate in the investigation in accordance with Annex 13 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation. Tapani Vänttinen was appointed as the accredited representative.

Accident Investigation Board of Finland will not publish the investigation report on its website.
