Developing portable locomotive radios, i.e. so-called maintenance radios

The portable maintenance radios of service railcar drivers (and drivers of other track machines) should feature the option of line-radio listening, as the drivers are frequently outside the driver’s cabin and therefore fail to hear calls by train control operators or remote control operators.
