Improving the monitoring of telecommunications companies

The Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority should enhance monitoring of telecommunications companies as outlined in the Communications Market Act, in order to ensure fulfilment of the requirements laid down in statutes on the preparedness of telecommunications companies. In addition, enhanced monitoring should ensure that requirements are met on the functioning of the telecommunications networks, with minimal disruption during disturbances in normal conditions.
