Safety recommendations

The Safety Investigation Authority’s duty is to issue safety recommendations and to monitor their implementation. The investigation report includes safety recommendations as measures necessary to improve general safety, prevent new accidents and hazardous situations, mitigate damage, and enhance the operations of rescue services and other authorities.

At the request of the Safety Investigation Authority, an authority or other relevant actor must provide an account of the measures it has taken in response to the safety recommendation addressed to it.
