Official pilotage locations

The Finnish Transport Safety Agency (Trafi) inspects and, if necessary re-defines official pilotage locations in collaboration with the operators in the field. The definition would pay special attention to the utilisation of the CATZOC zone around the piloting location in various conditions and traffic situations. To the extent possible, pilotage locations could be divided and specified for incoming and outgoing traffic and seasonal locations. The special characteristics could be described in nautical charts and route charts.
