L2024-01 Serious incident on a Norwegian flight from Rhodes to Helsinki 11.8.2024

The Safety Investigation Authority, Finland will initiate an investigation under the second
subsection of section 2 of the Safety Investigation Act (525/2011) into a serious incident in
aviation that occurred on a Norwegian flight on 11 August 2024. Two cabin crew members
were injured after the aircraft flew into turbulent airflow.

Senior safety investigator Juho Posio is appointed as the Head of the Investigation Team,
with airline transport pilot and flight instructor Juha-Pekka Keidasto, test pilot Antti Rautio
as well as purser (retired) Sanna Winberg as its members. Chief Air Safety Investigator
Janne Kotiranta will serve as the Investigator-in-Charge.
