Maintenance of private tracks

The present legislation neglecting the monitoring of traffic operation on private tracks and the control of maintenance of such tracks shall be amended so as to include these tasks. A competent authority specified by law shall be assigned to design such a monitoring and maintenance system for private tracks that ensures the safety of rail traffic. As for the transportation of dangerous goods, the Finnish Rail Administration shall immediately engage the requisite investigation work.
