On Tuesday 5 March 1996, on Mussalo railway yard in Kotka, a train consisting of two electric locomotives ran into the flank of an on-duty locomotive operating shunting work. As a result, one of the electric locomotives and the on-duty locomotive suffered some minor damage. The incident was due to an assessment error of the engine driver of the electric locomotives, produced by an incorrect viewing method used by him.
