Serious incident
Referring to section 12, subsection 2 of the Safety Investigation Act (525/2011), the Safety Investigation Authority of Finland has, by virtue of Annex 13 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation (Chicago Convention) and Regulation EU 996/2010 on the investigation and prevention of accidents and incidents in civil aviation, decided to appoint an authorized representative to assist the safety investigation initiated by the Italian civil aviation safety investigation authority (ANSV). The serious incident occurred on a flight from Milan to Saint Tropez. Due to white/grey smoke in the cabin, the crew declared emergency and diverted to Genova. After landing, the crew performed emergency shutdown and evacuation. Every occupant was able to walk out of the airplane. The serious incident involved a Pilatus PC-12 air-craft OH-DBM, operated by Fly 7 airline and registered in Finland.
The authorized representative appointed to the investigation is Senior Safety Investigator Juho Posio of Safety Investigation Authority, Finland.
