The Accident Investigation Board of Finland has decided to initiate an investigation into an in-flight upset which occurred in Russian Federation on 23 December 2010. According to Annex 13 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation this in-flight upset is classified as an accident since one of the passengers suffered serious injuries. The accident involved a Bombardier BD-100-1A10 Challenger 300 business jet, registration OH-FLM.
AIB investigator Mr Ari Huhtala was appointed investigator-in-charge accompanied by AIB investigator Mr Kari Laine as a member of the investigation commission. AIB investigator Jan Nordlund was appointed as a technical expert.
