The Safety Investigation Authority of Finland (SIAF) has decided to initiate an investigation on the grounding of the Finnish flagged Ms Nordepin in the Archipelago Sea 26 May 2013. The decision is based on the Safety Invesrigation Act (525/2011).

Captain Tapani Salmenhaara has been nominated as the leader of the investigation group. Other members of the group are Safety & HSEQ Coordinator Pia Broumand and Captain Mikko Rausti. Chief Marine Safety Investigator Risto Haimila acts as the investigator-in-charge of the investigation.
