Developing the collaboration between social and health authorities and rescue authorities

The cooperation of social and health care authorities and rescue service authorities will be developed nationally and locally. Fire safety must be included as one factor already in the first assessments when analysing how the elderly cope and what kind of assistance needs they have. After that, the fire safety requirements must be taken into consideration in all forms of housing for the elderly, when assessing their need for assistance and their possibilities to manage at home and in various forms of service apartments.
