Developing the investigation system of accidents in heavy vehicle road traffic

The Investigation Commission recommends that the Ministry of Transport and Communications develop an investigation system in Finland responsible for investigating all heavy traffic accidents, including driving-off-the-road incidents. The investigation could be temporary, yet long-term enough to expose driver errors and transport-related flaws as well as any possible vehicle characteristics that decrease traffic safety.
