Responsibility for the overall safety of the ferry traffic is on the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment of Southwest Finland, which will, after hearing the Finnish Transport Safety Agency (Trafi), specify the procedures for the procurement of the service in such a way that the relative importance of safety in the comparison of offers is increased from the present.
