Two alternative routes in the vicinity of the Kauramaa level crossing offer safer access to agricultural fields surrounding the track. The first is along Jyväskyläntie and Pielislehdontie, with Jyväskyläntie offering an underpass for crossing the Jyväskylä-Haapajärvi track. The second route is along Jyvaskyläntie and Eerolantie through the Eerola level crossing, which is equipped with a half-barrier.
